When I started creating this collection, I kept coming back to one thing…
how it would feel.
Not just how it looks, but how it sits on your skin, how it moves with you, and how it’s made.
At OHLA ACTIVE, I truly believe what touches your skin matters.
After months of research, testing, and working closely with our manufacturers, we chose to create our activewear using REPREVE® recycled nylon.
This wasn’t just about choosing a “sustainable” fabric.
It was about finding something that truly aligns with how we want you to feel when you wear OHLA.
Why REPREVE®
REPREVE® is a high-performance fibre made from salvaged fishing nets and post-consumer waste. Blended with LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™, it offers durability, shape retention, and lasting comfort. Giving new life to existing resources instead of relying on virgin production.
For us, this means choosing a more conscious way of creating, one that reduces unnecessary waste while still delivering high-quality pieces.
But beyond that, it had to perform.
How It Feels
We tested these pieces through real movement, Pilates, workouts, long days, and everything in between.
The result is a fabric that feels:
- Soft against the skin
- Supportive, without feeling restrictive
- Breathable and comfortable for moderate-impact movement
Safety & Certifications
Beyond performance and feel, safety and responsibility were just as important in our fabric choice.
Our materials are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, meaning they have been tested for harmful substances and are safe to wear against the skin, including the dyes used in the fabric.
Our fabric is made using REPREVE® recycled fibres and sourced from partners aligned with the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), ensuring the integrity of recycled materials and responsible processes.
Independent testing also confirmed that key chemicals, including PFAS, were not detected in our fabric.
For us, this is part of creating pieces you can truly feel comfortable in, every day.

Sustainability is not about being 100% perfect, it’s about making better choices, step by step.

It allows us to create thoughtfully, while being more mindful of the impact behind each piece.
