OHLA ACTIVE® began long before the first garment was made.

I moved from Chile to Australia in my late twenties without speaking English, without family nearby, and with no idea where the journey would lead. Like many people starting over in a new country, I experienced anxiety, homesickness, and a loss of routine. During that time, movement & yoga became my anchor. It gave me structure, calm, and a sense of belonging when everything else felt unfamiliar.

Before founding OHLA, I studied Fashion Design and developed a deep appreciation for fabrics, fit, and garment construction. Combining that knowledge with my passion for wellness inspired me to create something different.

Through my daily practice and experience in fashion, I began to see a gap. Many activewear brands focused on performance and appearance, but very few considered how clothing actually feels on your body, the fabrics, the materials, and the experience of wearing them.

I wanted pieces that felt soft, grounding, and comfortable. Clothing you could wear from a slow morning coffee to Pilates, from a coastal walk to everyday life.

OHLA ACTIVE® was created from that intention.

Inspired by the slower pace of coastal life in Fremantle, the brand is built on the belief that clothing can support wellbeing. Not through perfection or comparison, but through comfort, confidence, and ease.

Every design is thoughtfully considered: timeless silhouettes, neutral tones, and carefully selected fabrics chosen for how they feel against the skin. I believe in creating pieces you'll reach for year after year, rather than trends designed for a single season.

Today, OHLA ACTIVE® remains a small independent brand. Every collection is produced in small batches with trusted manufacturing partners, and I remain personally involved in every stage from fabric selection and fit development to design and production.

As OHLA continues to grow, our commitment remains the same: creating timeless pieces with carefully selected materials while moving towards more organic, biodegradable, and lower-impact fabrics.

OHLA® is more than activewear.
