Our Story

Our Story | OHLA ACTIVE®

OHLA ACTIVE® began long before the first garment was made.

I moved from Chile to Australia in my lates twenties without speaking English. Like many people starting again in a new country, I experienced anxiety, homesickness and a loss of routine. During that time, yoga slowly became my anchor. It gave me structure, calm and a sense of belonging.

Through my fashion background and my daily practice, I realised something was missing. Many activewear brands focused only on performance and appearance, OHLA® prioritises process, the makers, the materials, and how it feels on your body.

I wanted pieces that felt soft, grounding and comforting, clothing you could wear from a slow morning coffee, to pilates, to a walk, to everyday life.

OHLA ACTIVE® was created from that intention.

The brand is built around the idea that clothing can support wellbeing. Not comparison. Just comfort, confidence and ease.

Every design is carefully considered: simple silhouettes, neutral tones and fabrics chosen for how they feel on the skin. I prefer timeless pieces you can wear for years instead of trends you wear for a season.

Today OHLA ACTIVE® is still a small, independent brand. Each collection is produced in small batches with trusted partners, and I personally oversee design, fit and fabric selection.

OHLA® is not just activewear.
It is clothing for real life, for slow mornings, movement, travel and everyday routines.

Thank you for being here and supporting something created with intention.

With love,
Fran
