Sustainability

At OHLA ACTIVE®, we prioritise comfort, durability, and responsible material choices. Our goal is to offer a considered alternative to conventional polyester-heavy athleisure by focusing on breathable, skin-conscious fabrics with a lower environmental impact.

Our Fabrics

We carefully select materials based on softness, longevity, and how they feel against the skin:

• OCS-certified organic cotton fleece
• OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified bamboo viscose
• REPREVE® recycled nylon
• LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres (upcoming

Organic cotton allows us to create lounge garments without the synthetic fibres commonly found in traditional sweatwear. Bamboo viscose offers a naturally soft, breathable feel, ideal for yoga and studio movement.

Our performance pieces are developed using REPREVE® recycled fibres, transforming existing waste into functional, high-quality fabrics designed for movement.

Certifications & Testing

Our materials are supported by recognised certifications, including:

OCS (Organic Content Standard) for organic cotton
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 for textile safety
REPREVE® certified recycled fibres

Select fabrics have also been independently tested, with no PFAS detected, reinforcing our commitment to skin-conscious design.

Production

Our garments are produced in small batches with independent manufacturing partners in Bali, Indonesia. This approach allows us to maintain close relationships with our makers while reducing overproduction and unnecessary waste.

We focus on creating pieces designed to be worn across seasons — not fast fashion cycles.

Why This Matters

Synthetic garments, particularly polyester fleece, can release microplastics during washing. By offering natural fibre alternatives for lounge and everyday wear, we aim to reduce reliance on petroleum-based materials while maintaining comfort and performance.

At OHLA ACTIVE®, sustainability is not about perfection. It is about making thoughtful choices, improving continuously, and growing responsibly as a small brand.
